Contemporary Artist and Photography / Visual Culture Lecturer with 15 years of experience teaching courses related to analog and digital photography, the history of photography, and visual culture. Member of the Research Group of Photographic Printing at ECA - USP (University of São Paulo) since 2017. Specialist in Printed Media and Colorimetry.
Active artist interested in exploring the book as a medium for the construction of visual narration and the photographic image within our cultural environment. My Ph.D thesis took the form of three photo-books that dealt with themes such as memory, mimesis, the visual narration and its connections with creative writing.
André Leite Coelho (1986) é artista visual e pesquisador. Seu trabalho artístico lida com a relação entre tecnologia, percepção, memória e a interação entre texto e imagem. Sua atuação como pesquisador ocorre em torno das histórias das técnicas, com ênfase no meio fotográfico e na cultura visual contemporânea.
É professor do Departamento de Artes Plásticas da ECA-USP na área de Fotografia, Multimídia e Intermídia. Já atuou em instituições como PUC-SP, Instituto Moreira Salles e Sesc. Faz parte do Grupo de Pesquisa em Impressão Fotográfica do Departamento de Artes Plásticas da ECA-USP, coordenado pelo Prof. Dr. João Luiz Musa.
André Leite Coelho (b. 1986) is a visual artist and researcher. His artistic work explores the relationship between technology, perception, memory, and the interplay of text and image. As a researcher, he focuses on the history of photography and contemporary visual culture.
He is a professor in the Department of Visual Arts at ECA-USP (University of São Paulo’s School of Communications and Arts), specializing in Photography, Multimedia, and Intermedia. He has previously worked at institutions such as PUC-SP, Instituto Moreira Salles, and Sesc. He is a member of the Research Group on Photographic Printing at ECA-USP’s Department of Visual Arts, coordinated by Prof. Dr. João Luiz Musa.
